ISMIR 2002
3rd International Conference on
Music Information Retrieval

IRCAM – Centre Pompidou
Paris, France
October 13-17, 2002

VENUE

IRCAM (“Institut de recherche et coordination acoustique/musique”) is the research institute in acoustics and music founded by conductor and composer Pierre Boulez in the early 70s (for more information, see its main Web site).

It is closely related to the Pompidou Center, which is the French national center for arts and culture, home to the French national museum of modern art and to the BPI Public Library.

ISMIR 2002 events will take place at IRCAM and in the Pompidou Center (building maps and directions in the Conference spaces section). Both are located in the heart of Paris (see hotel and local maps; see also Local area section).

Public transportation to Paris (see Getting to Paris section) as well as to and from any point in Paris and the suburbs (see Commuting in Paris section), via public transportation (bus or subway) or private transportation (cabs) is excellent.

The ISMIR 2002 Web pages will be regularly updated
to include program content and schedule
