SOCIAL EVENTS
The
following events are proposed during ISMIR 2002 for the delegates. It is
still subject to change, be sure to check regularly.
Cocktail : Monday evening,
8pm, Ircam
This cocktail is an opportunity to socialise and meet new and old
attendees of ISMIR.
Concert: Tuesday evening, 8:30pm,
Ircam
This concert is the first of two concerts presenting works of
young composers from around the world who followed a one-year course at
IRCAM, and which use the most recent technology in music. It will take place
in the IRCAM concert hall with variable acoustics, itself a place worth the
visit.

Gala dinner: Wednesday evening, 8pm-1am,
on board a cruise ship on the Seine
The gala dinner will take place on board the Bel Ami. We shall
board at 8pm (be on time, the ship will not be able to wait for late comers)
at the Hotel de Ville port (a few minutes walking distance from IRCAM). The
ship will cruise the Seine during 2,5 hours, and be moored the rest of the
time. We hope that this will be a lifetime experience (at least as much as
the scientific part of the conference, that is).
