ACCEPTED POSTER/SHORT PAPER INFORMATION

General information

Your submission having been accepted for presentation in the poster/short paper sessions of ISMIR 2002 (see §5 below) possibly after some necessary revisions. Its extended abstract will be published in the proceedings, which will be available to conference attendees upon their arrival.

Here is a checklist which we ask you to adhere to as closely as possible and within the required time-frame, so as to avoid unnecessarily delays which might prevent your abstract from making it into the proceedings.

1.       Extended abstract revision
Please read very attentively and as objectively as possible all the reviewers’ comments which have been forwarded to you, as if the submission had been made by someone else. You will have to exercise your common sense, since the reviews may vary in their recommendations. Incorporate the suggestions, remarks, demands.

2.       Layout revision
It is of primordial importance that you pay utmost attention to presenting the extended abstract in the required format as specified in the provided templates (with particular attention to the length limit of 2 pages):
MS Word:
http://ismir2002.ismir.net/TemplateA4.doc
PDF:
http://ismir2002.ismir.net/TemplateA4.pdf.
There are freely available PS-to-PDF converters on the Web (e.g.,
http://oed.its.tudelft.nl/converter/index.php).
A table summarizing most of the requirements (all spelled out in the templates) is provided below for your convenience.

3.       Non-exclusive Copyright Transfer Agreement
In order to allow for the presentation of the poster and the publication of its extended abstract by IRCAM, you must agree to a non-exclusive transfer of your copyrights to IRCAM. The form spelling this out is available at:
http://ismir2002.ismir.net/Copyright.pdf
You should fill it in and sign it, and fax it to the number given before the due date for the camera-ready version.

4.       Due date
Before August 3rd noon Paris time, you should:

-          Return the revised poster abstract (according to 3 above) by email to the following email address:
ismir2002-final@listes.ircam.fr
(note: this is NOT the address used for initial submissions). The mail subject line should specify “Last name, First Name”.

-          Fax the signed copyright agreement (as per 1-3 above). Don’t forget to intial the first page (bottom right).

-          Register for the conference.

This will allow for a final formatting check before the camera-ready version due date of August 16 noon Paris time.
Abstracts which do not follow these guidelines may remain unpublished.

5.       Poster/short paper presentation information
Authors will have two modes of presentation of their posters/short papers:

-          Required: a board (size to be specified) for the display of printed posters, located next to the conference room.

-          Optional: a 10-15 minute presentation slot (including presentation and questions and answers from the floor) in a separate conference room, with available computer data projection, audio amplification and Internet connection (but as you know we can’t predict what the state of the network will be).
